I have been in a number of motor factors yesterday looking for front discs using the details in the parts section but all of them say they can't get them or they could but brake engineering don't make them anymore. Anyone know if they cross ref to somthing else, or know of another supplier?

How shot are yours? I have a pair of slightly used ones in a draw at home, I don't really know why I have them I think they were in a buldk load of parts I bought a few years back.
I'll dig them out, they may be better than what you have at the moment.

Double check that the hub does not have run out otherwise fitting new discs will still lead to a "warped/ judder" feel when braking.

they are delorean specific, i have a set of Cortina ones which will fit but with a little modification, if i were you dan i would pay out to have them skimmed as nick says at least you know they wont distort TT

Tone do you know anywhere around here that can skim them? I toured round a few workshops locally and most of them didnt seem to know what brake skimming was ('just replace the discs mate') and ones that did didn't know where to get it done
I've heard of on-car skimming so if your hub has runout it compensates for that too.

There's a place near where I work that skims discs.
Same place that did the head for my astra.
How desperate are you for the discs?
I will be working away next week.
I never got round to getting those spare discs of mine skimmed.........
