I've just been diagnosed with a completely new illness:

Post DeLorean Reconstruction Withdrawal.

Withdrawal can refer to any sort of separation, but is most commonly used to describe the group of symptoms that occurs upon the abrupt discontinuation/separation or a decrease in dosage of the intake of medications, recreational drugs, and/or alcohol. In order to experience the symptoms of withdrawal, one must have first developed a physical dependence (often referred to as chemical dependency). [....] There are different stages of withdrawal as well. Generally, a person will start to feel worse and worse, hit a plateau, and then the symptoms begin to dissipate. [...] The term "cold turkey" is used to describe the sudden cessation use of a substance and the ensuing physiologic manifestations.

I think I got that when reviewing my almost completed todo list...

The trip to Eurotec/Hunstanton was an extremely good experience, so nice to meet all the people. The car behaved which I really like after all the effort I put into it.

I said my car never got to a temperature to cut the fans in and that is a good thing. I doesn't overheat.. With the previous coolant dump issues in mind i was pretty scared. But during the event it didn't happen, even on the hot sunny Saturday. While driving towards the castle and waiting in line idling the fans came on and turned off again after the engine was properly cooled. No leaks, no overheating, no coolant dump, just the expected behaviour.

As an unrelated thing, I was told to connect a ground lead to the tank filler thing as that was loose and I did. This was the reason that the car ran very rough on low revs and acceleration!! I actually forgot I did that and realised it only on the ferry back. I disconnected ground lead and the car stopped backfiring on low revs.. I had NO IDEA what this is all about, but I checked my old documentation and around 2001 my Dad had the same issue when managing my car.

As a final remark, the car is leaking a bit more oil than it used to on the way over, but that is probably because of use. I tried to replace the right hand valve cover seal, but I really need to redo that with liquid gasket stuff to really fix it.. I checked and thats the only point that leaks.
