Well if it's a project car they are supposed to fetch 12k lol!! I somehow feel it wont get that high but someone who doesn't do their research will end paying over the odds.

Agreed Al. It will be interesting to see if this proves my theory about Aaron May's car being better off on Ebay.

I never did get any serious info on the COTS cars either in Keswick or Scotland, in spite of several emails etc

I have pictures of an ugly BTTF III car tagged at both sites, but probably the same car. And different from this one.

Interestingly I note that on the Bond Museum site (in Keswick, sister museum to COTS) they note that the Alexandria, Scotand COTS museum has closed (just opened in 09). I wonder if thse cars were originally there and they are selling off some surplus stock?

Although the seller refers to a "private collection".

OT - what legal company has an aol email address these days anyway?? and no website.
OT2 - the Bond Museum is listed as being "Behind Cumberland Pencil Museum" - a fascinating visit I'm sure

Hahaha! - http://www.pencilmuseum.co.uk/ - nice find Dermot! ;)

The BTTF 3 car (there is only one) was certainly in Scotland. Likewise I haven't actually seen a picture of the other car actually in situe, so this could very well be the one. It's feasable that just the Scotland branch has closed and they are just selling off surplus stock, but the involvment of a legal company of come sort implies something more serious perhaps.

hi all

i think this is from carofthe stars...they may have had 2...i enquired if their cars was for sale a couple of years ago (not having seen it!!) and i thought they said they had 2 (could be wrong though)

i am sure they were talking over £30k!!!!!
(i reckon worth £9K to £10K)

the advert is totally misleading, has this not just been trailered around UK a bit on display?

and is hardly a 'Universal' car which it implies a bit.

people (not us!!) may be bidding thinking that M J Fox himself has driven it!!

now if only they would sell that car languishing in the universal backlot, along with an original KITT, with its interior half assembled.

Steve

ps has anyone tracked down my vin 1621...i have paperwork for new owner

Basic problems with that:

Some idiot has already bid on it, pushing it well over it's value most likely

There is a reserve of *more than £5k*

The thing is worth probably £5k tops! Doesn't run. Missing some fairly essential parts, possible panel damage looking at one of the pictures, likely that the rest of the panels are damaged too, looks like the passenger door is broke in some way, interior?!?!, dodgy fake grille, louvres have been swapped!

Worth £1k for the gas flap hood, maybe another £1k for the driver's door. After that it's an insurance job!

Having said all that - yes to break it- if it WAS £5k, then maybe worth having.

Let's hope it gets a proper "turn key" restoration ;)

Can't find M and D Legal Services on google other than a firm in New York state.

their address is aol.com. anyone contacted them?

the car's quite hidious, but an afternoon spent ripping all that extranious shit off the car would probably add £2000 to the value..
I have a feeling the reserve is between 15 and 20 K. if M and D Legal Services are in the business of selling off assets then it's likely that when they don't get the price they want first time around they'll drop the reserve to get anything they can for it.

I'd buy it for £7000 if i had the space and the time.

any idea what the vin is? silver wheels, black interior, flappy hood.
