On the picture? To nothing, yet. ;) It is the return hose of the CPR. PO replaced it with something available, and I found it handy to tell the feed and return line apart.

Next year perhaps new fuel hoses all around.

Over 2 months ago, I jacked up #3695 for its maintenance job. A lot has happened since.

Today I celebrate the moment that all work on the underside of the car has been completed, and that the jack stands have been decommissioned as of today. My D again sits on its own suspension, as was intended. I forgot how low this car actually is.

Good news everyone!

My banjo bolt arrived today. When I came home, first thing i did was screw the sucker in. The I switched the key to the prime position to run the fuel pump for while and check for leaks. I only had to tighten one bolt a bit (10 degrees) to fix the leak. Then I primed again for a couple of time. I noticed the battery was quite low, so I couldn't start the car.

With my battery pack attached, I turned the key and after two cranks she fired up!

Broom broom broom, but then the air bubble in the fuel line made the car stall.. Crap batterypack is now low, so I put the charger on to try again tomorrow!

Working from home today, but knowing the battery was charged overnight I couldn't resist to start her up again. So I did what had to be done and started 3695. It took a wee bit of cranking to get the air out of the fuel lines and injectors but after about 4 attempts and 30 seconds she came alive again after so many months!

Nice loud purrr, rock solid idle, no visible leaks anywhere.. A light whistle was heard from the W-pipe gasket, which was quickly solved with a spanner. Throttle response seemed good too.

'Job done' to quote TT!

Thank you all for all the help, advice, parts and so on. Can't wait to take her out for a spin when the weather gets a bit nicer! (I wonder how the new clutch hydraulics work out)

If it was that weak you were bloody lucky it didn't rupture under fuel pressure, thats the CPR supply line!!
