I spent some time working in Wolfsburg at the VW plant, and the Museum is well worth a visit!
I could do the tour & history thing there too.
(I could tell you all about WW11 when they were making Panzer tank wheels at the factory, installed an anti aicraft gun, shot down an allied bomber that promptly ditched right in the middle of the factory, almost totally destroying it, you can still see where it happenned!)

My father served under Major Hirst re-building the Wolfsburg plant after the war as an 18 year old. I have some old photo's of him with a KDF car ("the strength through joy")brand before it officially became VW. As I told some of you today, he then went to R-R after leaving the services.

Apparently with the tyres the car had on it was great in the wet. Clearly all about the tyres and not the chassis!
