I would but I barely found time to visit Chris N, as it is the engine will be sitting in my Allroad for a month until I can get over to the Netherlands (DMC Europe).
For example have to spend all this weekend working on spreadsheets & standards documents.

Added assorted parts recently, the high-strength DMCEU TABs, some polybushings, period cruise control (new-old-stock), more SS bits (e.g. louvre brace), subwoofer replacing the cubby door, curved mirrors, motorised front number plate holder etc. Considering options for protecting the engine block; could powder coat or go the whole hog and chrome it. Front and rear fascias will be fibreglass now, swapped the position of the vents and radio (due to flip up screen) etc. Also verified VIN tags and chassis/tub history to my satisfaction.

Only hiccup so far is that only about half of the stuff I ordered from John Hervey actually turned up.

I wouldn't go for poly bushes on a deplores other than the front anti roll bar.

I definitely wouldn't recommend poly on the rear tab bushes is compliance is needed for the rear suspension.

If it was my car I would go for genuine new old stock suspension rubber.

The car is looking great and I bet she will be a stunned when it's finished

Yep, previous owners who've polybushed the whole car have subsequently wished they hadn't. Definitely want the DPNW poly ARB kit but just get NOS rubber bushings on the rest of it.

Haven't installed headlight washer jets yet. :)

Actually for the cruise control, was discussing with Chris N 'what would the factory have done in 1984 to get some more money out of the Americans - more overpriced dealer options? Cruise control for $1000, no brainer!'
Of course I paid a small fraction of that for the kit. :)

I spoke to Ed about this, eventually went for poly on the front sway bar and the rear trailing arms (only).

If you mean John H no I wouldn't be, I've tracked down exactly what he's supplying and people who've bought them as much as possible, and selectively ordered the stuff which seems to be good. Chris N is evaluating all the parts as they turn up as well.

Martin G is very strongly recommending use of the Saab 900 brake master (with 50/50 balance) instead of the stock Saab 90 equivalent part (with 63/37 balance). He says this is a good idea regardless of whether you upgrade the calipers/rotors, which makes sense given the car's weight distribution.

Tracked down the missing parcel from John H with the three-row rad / low-current fans / front air dam / coolant air bleeder, Royal Mail sent it to the wrong depot and then didn't bother to notify me, Chris N or John H about it sitting on a shelf with nowhere to go. Stockpiling other parts for the next workshop visit, have some heater pads for the wing mirrors (will wire them to the rear defrost switch), 8 x marine speakers (will put 4 behind grill, 4 in rear somewhere), some other audio parts. Have also acquired some headlight covers (clear) to further approximate the original 'turbo DMC-12' concept, but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them on the car, will have to mount them (with temporary tape) one the body panels are done and see how it looks.

There is already wiring present in the doors for heated wing mirrors. They where part of the original design but never implemented other than in the loom.

Yes, that's what I plan to use, it's just not connected to anything at either end in the original design. Some previous owners who did this mod had the heaters always on (i.e. wired the car end to accessory 12v), but I think it makes more sense to put them on the rear demist circuit.
