DeLorean tow vehicle

For anything else not specifically DeLorean related....

DeLorean tow vehicle

Just acquired this fine specimen to go with the DeLorean. It is even rarer and of course also starred in a prestigious movie, so you should all recognise it immediately ;)

It's LPG converted and seems in good shape for 70k miles, though it could use some dynmatting and the PO had some funny ideas about suspension height.

I do.

Are the front wheel really much larger than the rears?

It's not that big actually. There is a yellow one round the corner from me.

Free pint for that man if we're ever at the same meet. :)

Well, I thought to balance the iconic 80s sports tourer DMC-12 I should have an iconic 90s sports SUV progenitor. Sadly all the later imitators, crossovers and superficially SUV-styled over-tall econoboxes just couldn't live up to the original. :)

No, it's just the lighting, angle and dodgy lens on my smartphone.

It's not that big actually.

Yes, it's surprisingly maneuverable. The car is essentially a rebodied two-door short wheelbase Isuzu Trooper with some extra gadgets.

I always kinda liked them. They were so ugly they were cool. I wondered if this was the future of car design for a while. Overgrown Tonka truck with all that plastic cladding.

The Pontiac Aztec did it again 10 years later but failed miserably.

After a quick look on wiki I see that they weren't sold in the UK.

But are you serious about it being a tow vehicle for the D?

Well mainly in the sense that if / when I'm cruising around the block and the DMC-12 breaks down I'll have to call the wife and ask her to bring this to tow me home. :)

That said I did look at renting a flatbed trailer to take the car over to Ed for engine install & tuning myself, but with the fuel and ferry costs it would only slightly cheaper than just having it transported.
