Awesome car Dan! Always loved those things from many Floridian holidays ;)

I agree, when I see a Porsche I yawn. These always get me excited

A rear fog light. Side repeaters. Rear indicators changing from red sequentials to single amber flashers. Front amber sidelights changed to white. Then an IVA test, and also an MOT if its over 3 years old. Mines a 2011 so just needed to get an IVA for it.

Thats about it.

Hey, Dan, give me some details of your Corvette, year, price etc. I mentioned it to a mate last week, who's had half a dozen of 'em & he's looking for one
Cheers Jules (fancy a bum?)

Did you do the work yourself ? If so where did you source the bits ? I'm in NY next week for 2 weeks work so I'm gonna go round and see what I can buy. I really like the GT500 KR mustang so gonna go hunting.

Nothing much to it Dan, mines about the same, pair of repeaters on the wings. Loads use self adhesive LED's now, quick & simple. A rear fog of some sort & just amber bulbs for rear indicators. Mine still has red lenses, but they show up amber when lit.

I didn't do the work, but only becuase I didn't have time to do it and didn't want it becoming another ornament like the corvette has! However I could of done it myself quite easily.

With the standard rear lights the brake lights and indicators all share the same bulbs and are controlled from the ECU. The 2010+ models also have sequential indicators which are also not allowed in the uk. :( Shame becuase they look really good. So the stock setup needs to be dissabled and new seperate feeds for indicators and brake lights are needed.

First uou need to put a dummy load on the original tail light wiring so the ECU thinks its still stock. Then you need to come off the front indicators with relays and a fused 12V from the battery. You then use the new relays to run your side repeaters and new orange rear bulbs, which on the mustang can go in 2 of the reverse lights as there are 4 originaly. The other 2 reverse lights just stay as they are. Don't run the new bulbs straight off the front bulbs without relays becuase the extra current will damage the ECU over time.

Brake lights you need to relay off the high level LED brake light in the same way as the front indicators. Again coming straight off to bulbs will overload it as its only designed to power the LED bar. This gives you a feed for new brake lights which connect up to the original bulbs in the tailights. For the fog, you need to add an extra switch inside the car with a light on it to show when its on. Mine is run to the inner brake lights so no dangly lights under the bumper. It just means I don't have as many brake lights on the back as stock but still enough.
