I can' take any congrats on the "standard" cause its not working yet. I do have a few bad thoughts about the mechanical aspect. Bu yes it will look clean and shiny the firs few weeks down to its last stainless steel screw and bolt. :ugeek:

NAME THAT PART!
Here is my parts bunker. The ones wrapped in foil are he parts that have been sandblasted and powder painted.
Image

On to the works.....
First off his is the end result of the thickly painted top.
Image
No pretty bu won't rust EVER EVER EVER again.
Inside out!

Removed Clutch master cylinder
Image
to clean he rust on the plate
Image

hen removed crappy heat shield with rusty bolts and fasteners
Image
Image
and discovered that opening.... that looks like a potential emergency brake opening.
Image

As a very environmentally conscious individual I too a scrap SS piece, and cut it to size.
Image

next part is interesting....
I bought this sandpaper conveyer that makes PERFECT "DeLorean texture" on SS if held properly...
Image
Here is he result with a bit before after spot
Image
You're watching this Sir Nicklas?

Unfortunately my Riveting tool broke and I was unable to mount it on he body!

Next and final task of the day was o clean out the wire-bay of the rear luggage comparment
Image
Image

Everybody mentions the "valley of death" but nobody ever refers to he valley of rust!!!
Boy those two metal ECU and relay bays really love rusty.

Ever looked into yours???

Easy job to tackle and avoid rust escalation .

That's all for today ;)

NOW REMEMBER: This has been made out of 100% SCRAP SS sheets. Not aesthetically perfect but it does he job and is almost invincible where i is located.

hos to Alex's blog, and since I am still waiting for pars, I decided to remove he AC/heater unit.
And a good idea that was!!!!
I seems some "handyman" had already tried o fix it sometime in the past. Several components are broken and all of the air blocking sponge material was broken up due to age.
Consider this ALSO a nice weekend job to do.

More in photos:
Unit removed
Image

Heater wall has given way (bent) due to heat
Image
making he horizontal blend door break the stopping barrier
Image
By this he blend door got stuck behind the half remaining barrier.

This is the fresh and cabin air door with a sample of that bad foam.
Image

A/C evaporator filled with leaves, dirt and mouse hair...
Image

Took the whole thing apart, removed the doors and have placed them in rust dissolving liquid for their remedy.
Image
Will then paint and cover them again with new foam.
