I think so, They're the same width as Martin G's cast rears, Ed & Martin both say they're the widest possible that will physically fit under the car.

where will you mount the A/C compressor? on the left valves cover like stock?

Yes, AFAIK all the DMC-12 turbo engines (Legend/Island/BAE) left it there.

Car is coming along, brakes are installed and working (stock for now), issues with the steering are fixed. Main remaining mechanical issue is the gearbox not shifting properly.

Gearbox shift problem turned out to be not the gearbox at all, the shifter cable spot-welded to its sheath due to bad earthing (took the starter return current). Simple to fix at least.

Currently constructing UK style rear foglights out of brake light lenses from a damaged tail light assembly;



I know people usually go with the 'stick one on for MOTs only' or 'make one of the brake lights come on when the fog light switch is on', but since the theme of the car is 'fantasy UK production variant' I wanted to try for something more official looking.

P.S. Don't think I posted this earlier, I got Chris to add a 'turbo' logo to his fibreglass fascia, I tried to match the style and dimensions of the existing 'delorean' logo when designing it. Will be filled with stainless insets as for the usual 'delorean' letters, and both sides will be outlined with white electroluminescent wire so they are visible at night.

Might be the first time someone has done clay modelling on a DMC-12 since the late 70s:





Clay part will be fibreglass, cardboard part will be stainless. Aerodynamic benefit is highly dubious, i..e. period accurate for an early 80s spoiler.

I'm really surprised no one has done a fascia spoiler before, I think it will look different but at the same time not out of place on an 80's car.

Your certainly going to end up with a truly unique DeLorean!

Ok... The car is making progress but needs a lot of cleanup, covered in fibreglass dust at the moment.

Air scoop and spoiler mount. Scoop will have stainless mesh in it to stop leaves etc getting in.

Interior is still a mess : subwoofer is fitted in the cubby door though.



Some people were concerned about the coil area overheating so added this vent; an ultra-cheap hood scoop thing that will be fibreglassed over and painted to match.



Various external (marine) speakers for making door noises, power-up sound etc;

The excellent fibreglassing is all Chris, I just do the messy electricals
