Queens University Belfast - Electric DeLorean

Postby DMCNI » Thu Apr 24, 2014 11:04 pm

Some of you may or may not know that the students of Queen's University have set out to build an Electric DeLorean.

Well it featured tonight on the local BBC Northern Ireland News, and it is hoped the car will be on the road for October 2015.

aaaand there we have it.. The bttf theme again hehehehhhehe
That car is bonded to that tune for eternity....
That is a very ambitious plan and I am afraid those students wont be able to complete this project by October next year :(
I wonder what they paid for that D and what the VIN is.

Any body have contacts up there for a quick VIN trivia?

I was in touch with the department for a while asking for further details, but he never got back to me about the VIN. I'll ping him an email again and see what he says :)

They say in the video it was got from county Leitrim, that should make it one of Mervyns cars. Shane or Ian Christie would probably know the VIN

Feck me, they must have some budget for the build, when I was at uni it was a struggle to get them to stump up a few quid for any engineering project
