Looking for Delorean chums

Postby astralflood » Tue May 26, 2015 12:30 pm

Hello there,

not sure if this was the correct part of the forum to introduce myself but.....

I'm Jake from Ferndown in Dorset. I'm not a owner of a Delorean (I would very much like to be) but alsas I currently have no budget, Its still in the dream phase unfortunately, I'd thought I better consider that at 6'4 I might not even be able to comfortably drive one any how :-(, I'm looking for some delorean owner chums preferably in the south of England that might allow me to become more involved in the Delorean world. I should think if I was able to raise my funds to purchase a car it would be an import and a restoration project.....here lies the other problem....I'm not at all experienced as a mechanic so Ideally I would love to help out with a restoration project and learn about the mechanics first hand.....so if you know of anyone that might consider having a full of questions, keen to learn assistant, chum etc please let me know :-)

Welcome!

John Z DeLorean himself was 6'4, so size won't be a problem. It is a big car for a 2-seater after all.

Actually I shouldn't let my height effect things as I would probrably still get one and get some other lucky chum to drive it!! and considering I currently drive a tiny car about for work!!

Hi, you should be fine at 6'4 !
There are a few owners nearby to you. We have a big event in a couple of weeks if you're able to attend in Norfolk

maybe you should come to Eurotech, there will be lots of cars and lots of owners who would only be to pleased to answer any questions you might have. There also might be the opportunity to work on some cars as well. Welcome to the club!!!!

Hello New Delorean chum.

EuroTec is an event in June held in Norfolk. It's the best opportunity to meet owners/ other Delorean fans :)
