It's not the end of fix yet, after a test drive I get p1900-55 Diesel Particulate Filter error. Probably because all the egr soot it ingested is now in the exhaust filter. .

If back washing the filter with a jet wash off the car doesn't fix it, it's getting traded in :(

Nicky Honey, I've cleaned out a couple DPF's, at work, we've got a Kiln and we put one in at 600c for 3 hours and it came out like new, considering the car had done 130k. If you take on the instrumentation off I can do it for you

I went back in the "Vectra" valley last weekend, a bit further to change the Suction Control Valves in the Denso diesel pump (a common problem)....

Pictures don't include the removal of all the injector pipes, common rail, electric turbo variable vane actuator and all electrical wiring loom connectors. .

Car passed the MOT and the emissions were "trace" ie detectable but not registered ie less than 0.01 smoke density :)

My back is just recovering !

Hopefully I can move on to Delorean stuff during my Christmas break. ...
