Ed's LCA braces

Postby andyd » Sat Nov 14, 2015 8:37 pm

Hi guys

Could anyone with an opinion (good or bad!) PM me please with their thoughts, theoretical or practical on these items please?

I am considering fitting these with suspension rebuild v4, and any info much appreciated.

Cheers,

I've got them fitted.
Dunno about anyone else but I always felt the steering/front of the car feels sloppy/loose particularly over bumps.

The braces definitely made the front feel tighter

From all the info/ feedback I have heard they work very well. Only reason I will never get them is I think they are ridiculously overpriced for what they are

My reading over the last 2 or 3 hours on dmctalk makes them seem really favourable.

Anyone, PM me if you don't want to comment on open forum.

I will let you know what I decide to buy, but not make comments public,

Cheers

Well, yeah, they aren't cheap Kenny, but I go with the idea that

1. Lots of r&d there
2. They aren't necessary as such, so we don't need to buy them, just a nice add on
3. I don't mind supporting traders who support the cars, it comes back in the availability of other parts

Thanks for the opinion tho mate, I am going to look for people who have had problems with them. I think the info is there, even on this forum, just going to look now.

Just now that when you come to fit them that they are handed and sided.

Some people have fitted them "upside down", which had then had issues with them hitting the chassis causing done of the paint to come off the chassis.

Check that they are fitted right if you do decide to add them.

They do look nice

Don't get me wrong Andy, I buy from all the vendors and love that they provide innovative and replacement parts. I have no issues with any of them. This is one of the few things that I can't see myself buying on principle as IMO the parts are relatively cheap to make.
I do remember there was issues with the bushings coming out of the arm but this is sorted as bigger thicker washers are now supplied with the braces
