Absolutely no details that I've seen about in what ways the cars will actually be 'new'. Only difference is that you get a new VIN plate on your remanufactured shitter I reckon as opposed to one off a donor car. How else are they going to do it?

As mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5059

Never let it be said that Mr. Wynne doesn't know how to do PR. Lots of free advertising for him, another 5 years of having to listen to the "flux capacitor people" on every petrol station forecourt now telling me these are now being reproduced at every opportunity.
This is just more of what he was doing a few years back before the DeLorean family got pissed off and he allegedly had to pay them off.

They can't make a binnacle, let alone a car. No point shelling out whatever $$$$ is required to get the paperwork straight to start making "new VINs" when they'll be using old frames, might as well use old VINs too.

You could never import an actually "new" DeLorean into the UK anyway, you'd have to "ring" it with a fake VIN to get it in, wouldn't be the first time.... ;)

I think you could import a 'new' delorean but it would have to go through an IVA test to be able to register it, so the lighting would have to be sorted properly such as side repeaters etc.

Being on a new reg would give the option for personal plates such as SH11 TER

LOL Dan!

Jay - interesting bit of a PR release there. Can you imagine them actually engineering a brand new install of a 3-400bhp modern engine & gearbox, revising chassis/brakes/suspension to handle it, and then making - and selling - 325 of them a year?!

The day this happens I will begin to eat my DeLorean, piece by piece. In the absence of a hat, I'll start with the headliners.

Dontcha love quality journalism.

DMC say they have enough parts for 300 cars and this magically becomes 325 cars per year "rolling off the assembly line" (as I read somewhere)

As I said over on Talk, say, for the sake of discussion, they source a 350HP V6 from Toyota (like in a Lotus), will it come with a Toyota length warranty and where would you get it serviced? DMC? Would you take your $100k retro classic to Toyota?

I could well believe Houston could have parts to make 300 cars, but I don't think he could make any more after that, I was told the dies had been sunk in the Dunmurry river to weigh down fishing nets, so there will be no more new panels???
I would of thought it would be more realistic to sell parts at reasonable prices to the existing owners world wide rather than try to reproduce the car again
