Hi fnzen sorry I don't know your name if it's the two brass strips you are talking about I put them on to straighten out the roof liner , they are actually carpet door stips.

Did you use anything special to hold the headliner into the grooves of the letters?

Oh right sorry don I'm with you now. I think all they are is sound deading strips they where already on there . Urr and I used very strong spay glue to hold down the liner hope this helps
