Thanks mec, Nothing really up with the chassis, as it was galvanised before so thankfully all good there.

Its mainly the metal fuel hard lines I need to change. But while I'm there hope to sort the 38 year old rear suspension and anything else I may find

Had a closer look at some of the rust on the hard lines. They are factory lines never been replaced to the best of my knowledge.

It split so so easy, barely any pressure.
I didn't think the rust was that bad on it

My hard brake line under the car had split too - was losing brake pressure as a result. Don't think it's that uncommon!

Wow respect for the lift, I thought my garage was cramped.

Its funny how different cars are, some of your nuts are far more rusted than mine and your lines look far more corroded, I will check mine again tonight, you are so lucky to have caught that so early.

I recall my old Landrover had a full MOT and I said check the lines and it passed. Then when he backed it out when he braked coming off the ramps it burst the main line and the lot had to be replaced.

It just goes to show at first glance they can look ok but you often don't know.

Its satisfying doing and do you know just taking it all apart and putting it back together again at least is peace of mine but it only takes the odd thing safety wise to make it worth it.

Are you going to P coat your chassis now it all out ?

Yeah it's one of the main reasons for doing the frame off,. They are 40 year old lines so it's to be expected I suppose.
That's not the worst rusty one either!..

Its becoming more and more attractive now mec lol!
might just do it and be done with it, although other paint options have come to light but they might be not worth the hassle.

This coolant pipe bracket was bugging me for a while so finally got to check it out. Looks like it feeds on aluminium as its main source of nourishment

They usually have a foam sleeve to protect the pipe but it got eaten to lol!

its the only pipe that has 2 different sized rubber hose ends on it I noticed when removing it. One end is smaller diameter than the other so will have to remember that when it comes to fitting it back on

How it held without blowing out is the real mystery but yes a new one is ready to go.
