 - yes I do maintain a small fleet of over 3 year old cars too! ;) - to be honest it's the new ones that are the biggest hassle - the Land Rover for example is never happy and needs constant attention, which means it spending more time in King's Lynn that at home! :?

Anyway - the local garage is not open on a Saturday as far as I know, but I will ask. I know mec said that Michael Wicks in Wisbech is open on Saturdays, but I would guess there must be few nearer ones too.

Great vid Aaron!

Sounds to me like the door buzzer (was the key in the ignition?) with a semi-flat battery - although could also be the fuel pump via a bypassed RPM relay. My advice would be to clean it, drain it, leave it, trailer it! ;)

Actually thats quite a good idea to do a video diary, unfortunately if I done one all you would hear me do is cursing John Z.

The whirring noise you mentioned Aaron, could you locate where it was coming from in the car, I.E. dash area or Engine compartment, could it be the door buzzer that Arran mentioned??? and also is the battery fully charged?? As I would say that would be the first step. Being genuinely serious, I know you have engine issue's but do you reckon that everthing else on the car works like braking system???? It's just previous posts in this topic talks about getting you MOTed before you go, I know your car has been laid up for a while, would it be a case of sorting out the engine issue's or would we be going over the whole car for you????

I fully charged the battery before connecting it & the keys were not in the ignition.

I'll re-connect it today to hear the location of the sound.

Aaron the fuel pump is under the spare tyre under the bonnet.
See if you can hear the whirring from under there if you can.

If it sounds as though it is under the lpg tank and NOT under the dashboard, then this will likely be the fuel pump (assuming it has nothing to do with the lpg kit!)
