Martin says no. At least he says it has EFI, which is not worth buying for our needs. Either we borrow a PRV based car (engine must at least look the same), or we buy a Volvo 760 - or whatever the Volvo 2xx equivalent is. I think the Volvo route is the best way, cos it will a lot more useful in the long run, and gives us plenty of spares for Aaron's car!

That said I reckon Al going on the "other forum" is the best bet, although I'm not sure if Al is still a fully paid up member of the Volvo Owners Club! ;)
Even if a Volvo owner just drives one down for the day it will be better than nothing.

Or of course the Tommy/Tyson thing down the A1 sounds a goer too.

It is a pity I am so far away as my old engine is lying here and I think John Dore also has a non Delorean PRV I was supposed to collect foc

We've still got 2 months, and at least 2 leads to try (The A1 garage/scrap yard and the Volvo club), but it has to be an actual car, not just an engine.
The exact reason is only known to bozzzy, and all we actually need is a non-DeLorean with a DeLorean-type engine in it to attend on the Saturday. But if - as a bi-product - we end up buying a Volvo as a way of doing this, then we'll also end up with a free engine and something to do on Saturday afternoon! :D

No - sorry. As bozzzy said on the first post, anything that is sportier than the DeLorean is out I'm afraid. Certainly if we're looking to buy a car then the only thing worth considering is a Volvo. If we're borrowing then Renault is fine, but not Alpine - too sporty!
