That is brilliant news Tyson! Obviously I don't count myself in the "know anything" department, but what I do know is that as long at it has the "ram horns" in it then it will be perfect. For our purposes all we need is a volvo with an engine that looks cosmetically similar to the DeLorean's - it doesn't even need to work.
But ideally if we are buying/spending more than £100 then it might as well be the correct engine.

The C reg is just 1 year too late I think you'll find when you open the bonnet. NEEDS TO BE PRE-1985 760 (or a 260? i think) - and a 2.8 of course.

The Y reg looks like a 260 to me, but can't be sure. If the engine has the "ram horns" then that's it!

im not there now arran so it will need someone to ring them like i said i am crap with cars.however if you want to ring them i can go down there as we are quite close to them but honestly there are 100s and 100s of cars there

That C reg one looks identical to mine, mine was also a C reg and had the right engine in it.

2.3 on Piston heads, I don't know whether the 2.3 is an I4 or a V6???

No offence J, but I'm driving to frikkin Ceredigion to spend £1500 on a s**t car with the wrong engine (needs to be a 2.8), and wrong year (EFI), and modified (a big no-no)


Option 1) Pre 1985 (or some 1985) Volvo 760 or 260 car - with V6 2.8i K-Jet engine - buy for "up to £400" if it works, or "up to £100" if it doesn't - YES IT DOESN'T NEED TO RUN!!!!

Option 2) Pre 1985 (or some 1985) Volvo 760 or 260 car - with V6 2.8i K-Jet engine - borrow with driver "for a drink"

Option 3) Any crap looking car with a with V6 PRV K-Jet engine- borrow with driver "for a drink"


if all else fails only: (this is last resort)

Option 4) Pre 1990 Volvo 760 or 260 car - any engine - borrow with driver "for a drink"
