Arran, a simply amazing event, full credit to Arran and his team at Calley Hall, rooms, food, staff etc... all superb as always.

Tyson and Maria for offering a huge selection of goodies with so many people in their 2010 Eurotec shirts it looked like such a profesional event. I'm now officially a 'hoodie' so I should be in line for a hug from David Cameron

Steve Wynn what a nice chap, and he was very impressed with the event, I was fortunate enough to spend a good deal of time chatting to him, althought I was pretty intoxicated so don't know if the conversation was that interesting from his side.

Nick Sutton interesting to hear about the factory from another angle, fasinating stuff and held a good sized crowed

Al and Bozzy, a huge effort from you guys to keep everything in order so thanks for all your work.

Peter, Tony and Jason, thanks for Spaxing my ride, Tony and Jason were particularly concerned for the tightness of my nuts and I can confirm they remained tight for the full return trim home. Noticbly smoothing drive with the new set-up.

Nick T sweating his butt of every day helping fine tune peoples cars, didn't seem like much of a holiday for him lol and he has certainly given me some ideas on how to resolve some of the running issues I have so many thanks for that too.

I know Jane had a great time too, the DWAGS certainly have a good group going now and seemed to be happy to do thier own thing and leave the lads to play with the cars.

Can't wait for all the photos, I'm sure there will be 100's

See you all soon.

James RG

p.s. Many thanks for the Birthday cake, just chomping on a slice as I type.

That was a great weekend - I just wish I'd got there earlier! Thank you Arran, and to the many people I met who were so welcoming to a first-timer. I must admit that all the fantastic work you've done on your cars was a bit intimidating to someone as cack-handed as me, but has encouraged me to just get stuck in and do stuff. If you put your mind to it... (etc etc).
I'll definitely be coming again next year, and hopefully to other smaller meets in the summer and autumn.

I dropped into a local classic car show in Hedingham Castle on the way home on Sunday. As I parked up and the people gathered round, there was steaming water pouring out of the back. I heard people muttering things like 'they always were a bit rubbish'. So - sorry to let the side down in public. Turned out that the fan belt had rubbed through the hose that runs behind it, cutting a gash. I suppose the heat must have caused the hose to soften and warp out a bit. Gaffer taped it up, had water donated from the Mini Club stand, and I got home - so quite a nice first breakdown, all in all, and a fitting end to the weekend!

cheers again all - looking forward to seeing the group photo from wobbly-pole-cam.

That's a very common problem, and a bit of a design flaw really. It was rectified on a few cars with a bracket. But the gaffer tape fix worked fine for me for a year!

I have a feeling this will be a late night for me piecing this together! ;)

Although I think the picture of Tommy is probably better! (thanks to Jonny Jones for this pic):

Haha well done! Especially with the yellow fishing-vest and all (even with fishing: safety first!)
