Returning on Monday 30th May (HSS Explorer: 13:15 - 15:14)

I'm ridin' solo atm and expect to unless I have an extra person! If I do, will it be difficult to wangle them on board on the day?!

Shouldn't be as discount is for car plus 2 passengers. Don't know what admin is involved though

Yes Dan - on those timings you get into Dublin, but leave from Dun-whatever it is - which is also Dublin but not the same place.

The return crossings on both days are exactly the same.

Belfast to Dublin Port 103 miles (1hr 47mins)
Belfast to Dun Laoghaire 110 miles (2hrs 4mins)

we forgot to discuss at the minimeet what activities we are booking up at eurofest. i was going to do them all but I've heard not everyone is doing that??

As a regular ferry user to Dublin I prefer to go via Dun Laoghaire [pronounced Dun Leery ] It's the quickest using the HSS ferry on Stena. But you have to trek across Dublin city or use the M50 orbital motorway to connect with the M1 heading North.

Dublin port is where the slow ferrys go although Irish ferrys do have a small high speed ferry too. The port tunnel connects you right on to the M1 motorway and you can avoid Dublin city.

The high speed ferrys are dependent on good weather conditions.

Just booked us in - going on Thursday and coming back on Monday.

I'll start looking into hotels in Dublin city centre for Sunday night now and let you know how I get on Dan - Carl & Alan are you still up for that or is it all a bit hazy from the weekend?!
