Rebuilt one of those when I was 18!
Cheap as chips now... you can get a reasonable one for £500. Not a bad little car with Ford running gear, so very cheap to fix. Princess Anne had one though.

If you can get one of the few with a galv chassis, you're onto a winner. Only made a couple of hundred of them. This is the 6B, with the 2.8 motor.
Overheating is mostly due to poor maintainance. A correctly functioning rad, and clear block wont see you with any problems. And I think the rear suspension makes them significantly better in the handling dept. than a capri...Then again, maybe I'm biased!!
