Brake servo rant continued:
After I took my brake servo out, I had some spare time before my new master cylinder arrives. I decided to start with the flexi brake lines in the front. Boy was I wrong to start that now.
#1. The old lines will not come out. The sockets attached to the frame were epoxied and that has now expanded to basically crush the flexi lines stuck in their sockets. (see dmctalk for old topics), any more pressure on the brackets and they bend or might break.
#2. The hex bits on the new hoses are too short. Even if I can get the old lines out, the new lines will spin in the sockets making it impossible to tighten the lines without messing up the hard lines.
On solution i've seen across the board would be to dremel off the epoxied nut from the brackets. Then I could fasten the new hoses using 2 spanners.
And that is only the front ones...
