No we need to get a new rad fitted before eurofest. With the rad out it would make sense to fit a new fan housing, but if there isn't enough time or money to get one now then I'm sure it can be bodged up enough to give you fans for the summer season.

I don't know if this helps but Tom may have a set of specialt auto fans to hand if the housing is bad.
It might take some fitting though unless there is a spare housing about.

It could only happen to you Carlos....

Carl,

Take a look at this picture, it may make things easier to understand what is what.

Which part of the fan housing is touching the frame?

I wonder if given what happened originally years ago, whether you are missing the top support brackets for the radiator.

Also, don't throw any of the parts away that are broken or fallen off
It might be a question of trying to fix the housing by whatever means necessary!

Yep, that is a great pic and very helpful.

The left arrow on the below pic indicates where the fan blades are brushing against the frame, so clearly this has been pushed back in the impact.

The right arrow shows the part of the housing where the blades on the other fan are lightly brushing against.

Also, the back of the fan housing/supports are sitting literally right on top of the anti-roll bar. I can't tell from the pic if they should be sitting that low?! Looks to me like there should at least be a small gap between, but mine are resting right on top of that!

The three plastic legs which hold the fans in place, have these broken on the left side where it's hitting the frame?

No, I think all of the plastic legs are still in place, as they were pretty rigid, the rest of the housing was quite flimsy.

OK, I'll try and get some pics at lunchtime! You'll see what I mean about the blades then.

Ok if the plastic legs are in place, the fans must have dislodged from the cowling, hopefully you can get some more pics
